Wildlife observation


You may see, hear and even film/photograph wolverines, brown bears, wolves, lynxes, beavers, goshawks, golden eagles, white-taled eagles as well as other wild animals living in the beautiful environs of Eräeero. The night is spent comfortably in a watching lodge where you sit on comfortable chairs or even take a little break and lie down in a bunk and have a little snack.

There is room for 18 persons and 12 drawstring holes for photographers. There are 6 places for persons using wheelchairs. Down in the valley there is a hide for professional photographers with 14 places for cameras. Wolverine is the most observed animal and it can be seen year-round.

The watching place can be accessed by car.

DURATION: 4 pm – 6 am


  • arrival at Wildlife Lodge of Keljanpuro Brook at 3 pm
  • welcoming coffee, Karelian pasty and sweet bun
  • introduction to the organizing company, info about predators and watching wildlife
  • transfer to the watching place by car at 4 pm
  • wildlife watching, snack during evening and night, possibility to sleep
  • return to Keljanpuro Brook in the following morning around 6 am

PRICE:  175 € per person

Included: Welcoming coffee, introduction to the company, snacks (evening and night), insurance, use of listening device, diploma, guidance, VAT

For additional charge: Breakfast EUR 8 per person, accommodation EUR 65 per person (incl. possibility to wash up, dinner, a place to rest and coffee)

Languages:  Guidance provided in Finnish, English or Russian

Please note: Clothing suitable for weather conditions. Everybody should bring their own cameras, tripods, binoculars and recording devices.
